The Salford Restoration Office

We made an environment and supporting programme for Lynn Hershman-Leeson’s symposium, A Real + Second Life Symposium (24 Nov 2007), as part of her retrospective, Autonomous Agents (15 Sept – 12 Dec 2007), at The Whitworth Art Gallery. We built a screen and computer bank that allowed visitors to explore Second Life and hosted workshops that taught sculpture within the virtual environment. The wider exhibitionary environment included the painting Approach to Font Hill (1940) by John Piper and the digital slideshow Pompei (2007) by Nick Crowe.
